South-India, ca. 19th c,H. 24 cm
Standing in very slight tribhanga on a circular plinth, her right hand holding the lotus while the left is stretched along her body, wearing sari, udarabandha, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes below arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes with circular ear-plugs and her hair drawn up in the kiritamakuta.
